Subfloors
Concrete Slab
Concrete slabs should be cured for 60 days and tested for moisture content.
Installation of solid hardwood is not recommened. An engineered
floor is the preferred choice and can be glued or floated.
To install solid wood floors on a concrete slab start by laying a felt paper
moisture barrier. Then attach plywood to the concrete slab with power-actuated
fasteners.
